Orange and Black

I straightened this one, I really should pay more attention when I take photos, to make them straight :)

Paul

My name, with a feather.

Colours edited in Lightroom

This would make a good cover for a wedding album :)

Yarra Rver With Added Moon - Melburne Australia

Ok so the moon does not really belong in this photo, I hope it does not look too bad. My first attempt in photoshop to add stuff :) What do you think ?

The original is here

Basically what I did was drag a crop'd version of just the moon onto the image.
Then used the layer filter "layer dodge add"

Overexpose

Over exposed this one, and it gave an interesting effect.

Moomba Ride

This is the same picture as this one Except that Adobe Lightroom has not touched it.

Zipper

Actually I forget what this ride is called, but it is an interesting shot anyway :) Well I think so.

Landing the water ski jump at Moomba / Waterfest. It has quite a nice silhouette. This was on the first day of the Moomba waterfest event in Melbourne.

Silhouette Sunrise

I was in early one morning at work, and this was the view out my window as the sun came up.

The sun is reflecting between the buildings, it is not bad at all :)

Well not bad for a Sony camera..

Docklands

I went for a walk one evening down to Docklands Melbourne.

The sun was setting, and I was keen to get some of the nigh views around there.

This is one looking over docklands.

Looking At Docklands

This one is some statues in the middle of docklands.

Saint Kilda Beach

I did head down to Saint Kilda beach, to try out the teaching of a book I bought, called " Understanding Exposure". It is not a bad book, an easy read.

Here are a couple of photos taken, with exposure in mind.

The Red Box

I saw this lonely red box. It was just sitting there, not doing much.

Sunset

Walking along the docklands in Melbourne, with the sun setting in the distance, I thought this would make a nice photo.

The Monster

The bushes move,
I see an ear,
I wonder what
she wanted to hear.

Tuzi In The Bushes

She looks at me,
along her nose.
A really cute,
and sexy pose.

A little monster,
looks at me.
I wonder what,
she thinks of me.

Water Fountains

I set out to capture the water in motion. A few attempts at home failed, but it was such a nice bright day today. This is the result.

Coke in a Pub ?

I took this one by resting the camera on the bench.

I think it looks ok. Nice washed out background, people
moving, continuing what they are doing, the coke, motionless,
just waiting to be taken away.

It's purpose fulfilled. It's life about to end.

Time Exposed Coke

Again, playing with autostitch, I found that this was a nice way to capture a part of Melbourne. Where I work, and where I play.

Lounge

Well I decided to play with a program called autostitch, to take a series of photos and join them.

This is the result.

Pity I didn't tidy up first :)

The lounge is small, but it's home.

Japanese Maple

Japanese Maple

I have this in the back yard. I love to look at the leaves and the bark of the tree.

I just wish it was bigger.
