Yarra Rver With Added Moon - Melburne Australia

Ok so the moon does not really belong in this photo, I hope it does not look too bad. My first attempt in photoshop to add stuff :) What do you think ?

Basically what I did was drag a crop'd version of just the moon onto the image.
Then used the layer filter "layer dodge add"

I was in early one morning at work, and this was the view out my window as the sun came up.

The sun is reflecting between the buildings, it is not bad at all :)

Docklands

I went for a walk one evening down to Docklands Melbourne.

The sun was setting, and I was keen to get some of the nigh views around there.

I did head down to Saint Kilda beach, to try out the teaching of a book I bought, called " Understanding Exposure". It is not a bad book, an easy read.

Mass Wedding hits Melbourne

Sunday, 19 November 2006 72 couples from Tianjin in China say their wedding vows (in mass) at Federation Square (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia). Here are a few of the photos I managed to capture :)

I set out to capture the water in motion. A few attempts at home failed, but it was such a nice bright day today. This is the result.

Melbourne War Memorial Peace Flame

It was a nice day today, so I ventured out with my camera around Melbourne. I wanted to capture the flame dancing in the wind.

Coke in a Pub ?

I took this one by resting the camera on the bench.

I think it looks ok. Nice washed out background, people
moving, continuing what they are doing, the coke, motionless,
just waiting to be taken away.

It's purpose fulfilled. It's life about to end.

Again, playing with autostitch, I found that this was a nice way to capture a part of Melbourne. Where I work, and where I play.

Lounge

Well I decided to play with a program called autostitch, to take a series of photos and join them.

This is the result.

Pity I didn't tidy up first :)

The lounge is small, but it's home.

I have this in the back yard. I love to look at the leaves and the bark of the tree.
