Mass Wedding hits Melbourne

Sunday, 19 November 2006 72 couples from Tianjin in China say their wedding vows (in mass) at Federation Square (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia). Here are a few of the photos I managed to capture :)

The Red Box

I saw this lonely red box. It was just sitting there, not doing much.

Sunset

Walking along the docklands in Melbourne, with the sun setting in the distance, I thought this would make a nice photo.

I went for a drive tonight, to find something interesting to photograph. I didn't find anything.

The Yarra river, pitty it is brown..

Water Fountains

I set out to capture the water in motion. A few attempts at home failed, but it was such a nice bright day today. This is the result.

Melbourne War Memorial Peace Flame

It was a nice day today, so I ventured out with my camera around Melbourne. I wanted to capture the flame dancing in the wind.

Coke in a Pub ?

I took this one by resting the camera on the bench.

I think it looks ok. Nice washed out background, people
moving, continuing what they are doing, the coke, motionless,
just waiting to be taken away.

It's purpose fulfilled. It's life about to end.

Again, playing with autostitch, I found that this was a nice way to capture a part of Melbourne. Where I work, and where I play.

Lounge

Well I decided to play with a program called autostitch, to take a series of photos and join them.

This is the result.

Pity I didn't tidy up first :)

The lounge is small, but it's home.

I have this in the back yard. I love to look at the leaves and the bark of the tree.

I just wish it was bigger.

Why Do I like Melbourne

Well I suppose I like Melbourne because of the many things it has to offer. It is a great place to live, and work. Pictures like this help me to appreciate Melbourne too.

The Moon

There is something about the moon that I enjoy. Maybe it is the fact that is looks down on us.. Anyway, here is a picture of it.

Lightning

Well I was lucky with this one, I just kept pressing the button during a thunder storm, until I got this one.

Night Flower

I really like the way this photo came out. It was low light, with my sony CyberShot in candle mode.





Not sure why I like it, maybe just the colours, and the sky.
